President Gan Jinming Invited to Deliver a Keynote Speech at China-ASEAN Talent Innovation Forum of Digital Intelligence Supply Chain

From News Center (Text by Yang Lu, School of Finance and Logistics Management; Photo by China Federation of Logistics & Purchasing) From November 7 to 9, 2024, the China-ASEAN Talent Innovation Forum of Digital Intelligence Supply Chain and Guangxi Supply Chain Vocational Education Group 2024 Annual Conference was held in Guigang, Guangxi. This event centered on the frontier developments in the digital intelligence supply chain field, as well as innovative approaches to talent cultivation, aiming to provide a platform for in-depth collaboration and exchange between China and ASEAN in this domain. Distinguished attendees included Ren Haoxiang, Vice President of the China Federation of Logistics & Purchasing, President of the China Society of Logistics, and Director of the National Vocational Education and Teaching Steering Committee for Logistics Industry; Qin Likui, Secretary of the CPC Committee and Chairman of Guangxi Modern Logistics Group; Zhou Chunyong, Member of the Standing Committee of the CPC Guigang Municipal Committee and Director of the United Front Work Department; and experts from universities and enterprises at home and abroad.

Invited by the organizer, Gan Jinming, President of Liuzhou Polytechnic University (LZPU), delivered the keynote speech entitled "Talent-based, In-depth Industry-Education Cooperation for Expanding Blue Ocean Markets: Empowering Enterprises for International Expansion and Jointly Building Resilient Supply Chains" at the event.

In his address, Gan Jinming shared LZPU's experience, practices, and results in developing an innovative industry-education integration model focused on advanced regional manufacturing, and exploring an international education model that aligns education development with industrial demand. Based on the current changes in supply chain development, he proposed fostering talent-based industry-education cooperation to empower companies to go global, strengthen the connectivity and resilience of the supply chain, and advance the steady and sustainable globalization of vocational education. These goals are to be achieved by establishing industry dialogue mechanisms, conducting research on key industrial logistics challenges within the digital intelligence supply chain, and serving the digital transformation and upgrading of manufacturing enterprises' logistics.

The event, organized by the China Federation of Logistics & Purchasing and Guangxi Modern Logistics Group, served as a professional exchange platform and a vital initiative to enhance the digital intelligence transformation of the regional supply chain and supply high-quality talent to the industry. Key segments of the event included Guangxi Supply Chain Vocational Education Group's annual work report and the activities of the China-ASEAN Talent Innovation Forum of Digital Intelligence Supply Chain. The event drew nearly 250 domestic and foreign experts, scholars, guests, and representatives of enterprises in the industry.
